While making the outside appealing is important, you don't want your home's beauty to be paint deep. 
So aside from the major rebuilds what should you be looking out for?

You should be looking at all these things and seeing if you can improve or refresh them some way. If you've got worn or old carpet replace it. Floorboards can be redone. Buyers are going to be looking at everything, and yours won't be the only home they are looking at. 

So you need to make every effort to beat out the competition, and catch the eye of buyers.
